In October 2017 Pathway1Foundation did a second planting at the Rotokauri public garden sites in Hamilton. We planted another 100 fruit trees and replaced those that failed to survive the planting from the year before. Three families helped out, a great and fun family day.
Four weeks later we did the weed spraying and fertilizing, horse poo galore! The first spring flowers have appeared – the first fruit on our trees!
And in November we mowed the sites. Its better than spraying and the trees are coming up so good!!!
The fruit is amazing… so many of the apple trees already with good fruit.
This is truely a rewarding project of the Pathway 1 Foundation. So many people will benefit from this planting: the place becomes an enjoyable space to be, see and eat from.
