Oh my goodness! What an absolutely epic day we had for our inaugural Mentoring Conference on February the 9th. Words do not adequately capture the wairura or spirit that was felt throughout our day at St Paul’s Collegiate School in Hamilton.

We were thrilled to meet so many amazing people already out there doing incredible things that are contributing to the world being a better place for generations to come.

Overall, around 170-180 people attended the conference raising close to $10,000 for the Aunties in South Auckland to continue doing their deeply heartly work in supporting women and children experiencing the terrible fall out of domestic violence. The money will be used to help The Aunties buy food and daily living needs for those they care for. We are currently trying to connect with a supermarket chain in South Auckland to get a big as possible discount to maximise the money we raised. So an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to all for coming along and making your donation through the registration fee.

We would like to give a massive thank you to Grant Lander Headmaster at St Paul’s Collegiate School for giving us the amazing opportunity to hold our mentoring conference at their beautiful school. We would also like to thank Cody Price for doing so much to ensure our day flowed. Also an enormous thank you to Chris and his kitchen crew – the food was devine! And to Lachlan for doing a class job on the IT side of things in the chapel.

Enormous thank you to Carol and Wendy from the Coaching and Mentoring Centre in Auckland. Everyone absolutely enjoyed Carol’s sessions. Reporting that they were incredibly useful and will aid them in deepening their mentoring.

Our day would not have been what it was without the amazing generosity from Wayne Smith and Jackie Clark for agreeing to be our keynote speakers. Both are amazing people. One in a million both of them. Their love for ‘mentoring’ and contributing to the world to be a caring place was deeply moving and inspiring. Thank you to both of you.

We will be running the conference again next year! And are very excited to spread the word and see if we can raise even more money for great people out there doing amazing things that contribute to our Foundation’s core VISION – For New Zealand to become the most caring nation in the world.

See you all again next year!
